Day 14 - Narrows

The day was die and go to heaven. With staff, neoprene socks, water shoes and too much on my pack I set off upstream. You wade in the fairly swift river for 70% of the time gawking at so many details of deep narrow canyon being carved every day.

Textures, color, stains that are like Sumi paintings, fragile plants clinging to walls and so on. I have not even had a chance to look at big camera as was so worn out last night. It was harder to walk and balance than I thought would be the case. Had rented a waterproof camera case just in case.

This photo was near the end of my 3 hours going up canyon. I was faster coming out taking far fewer shots. Just because I was so bloody tired. Everything looked brand new
