The Color Run

Or as it should really be called the Colour Walk which is what most people did. Today we have had such mixed weather. Thankfully for the run it was fine but later on there were thunderstorms, hail, sunny patches and light showers. You get the drift? Anyhoo, it was not hard to remember to go to the Color Run as it is not far from where I live and I could hear the warm up going on. There were DJs to get the crowd dancing and jiving and cheer leaders to rouse them further. I have never seen so many tutus, tiaras, coloured wigs and funny glasses. The glasses and wigs would be good to keep the dye out of the eyes and hair. The tutus, well, they are just the fashion.

This was at the end of the race when people were lured towards the stage and given packets of dye and counted down to throw them in the air. Everyone looks like they have had a great time. They seem to be very happy to have people wandering around taking photos and the people were really happy having their photos taken. Consequently I filled two cards in next to no time and have spent the afternoon downloading and editing. It reminded of the Special Olympic days. I am also very mindful of the Maxwell Jackson business.

Happy Mothers Day to you mums in Oz. Hope everyone had a great weekend.
