Things that make me happy

1. Being with friends
2. Seeing friends from twenty years ago
3. Making fabulous (if I say so myself) music together

When I was younger I played in an orchestra and that orchestra is 40 years old this year. To celebrate the anniversary a reunion concert was organised, and this was my view from the timps, during the concert.

Despite most of us not playing together for fifteen or so years, and some not playing at all in that time, right from the start of the rehearsal we just slotted back into place just like it was yesterday.

Some of the best times in my life have coincided with this same view. I don't often reflect on how lucky I am, but today I did. Thank you!
