Day Twenty Six

In Paynesville the main road is called Du Port Road, and today I followed the road right through Paynesville until I got to the river. Funnily enough, the river is called the Du, and during the war there was a port here; hence Du Port Road.

The end of the road is a circular area and it is full of people busily weaving large sheets that get used for builgings etc. I wanted to take some pictures, but sometimes the camera is unwelcome when people are working. So, I took some pics of the river and the canoes that they use instead. The canoes are tradiational dugouts that are perfect the small jungle waterways!
