Bright Flowers--NYC

A view through the lobby window of our apartment building on Manhattan's upper West Side. Even though spring here is a few weeks behind Paris, the plantings are more or less at their best.

I visited the NY Historical Society , mainly to see a marvelous show of Audubon's superb watercolors for his Birds of America. An unexpected treat was Facades--photographs by Bill Cunningham documenting the "architectural riches and fashion history of New York City;" a woman friend posed in period dresses and hats in front of historic buildings--great fun.

For dinner we got together with our relatives Laura and Eric. They usually visit us in Paris but didn't make it this year; we had a wonderful time catching up.
