Tuel Lane Lock, situated on the Rochdale Canal in Sowerby Bridge has a fall of 6 m and is the deepest lock in the United Kingdom.

The deep lock replaces two earlier locks that were lost to road development.

All movements are controlled by a lock keeper and have to be pre-booked.
