Chalmers Street

This is the face of Ardrishaig that most people see and so keep on driving. This is the main street with the busy Campbeltown road going through it, on the left of the shot are the car parks and the sea front.

The real village centre was very traditional but knocked down in the late seventies to build these flats. At one time there were lots of shops but most are now empty and taken over as offices by the council. As you can see we still have two mini supermarkets with post office, a hairdresser, a café, a florist, a dog grooming parlour, a Bangladesh take away and a couple of pubs. What more do you need.

Immediately behind these shops is the view I blipped yesterday that only the locals see.

Lovely sunny and warm day today so I wandered around with little S and took loads of photos
