A full-on day with an out-of-town retail park morning (breakfast at a big yellow and blue furniture place, trying out bikes elsewhere for imminent children's birthdays) and an afternoon and evening in the company of jaybroek and others for birthday shenanigans (private screening of a certain movie (clue's in the title) and then food/drink, etc back at his with families, kids, etc).

And, somewhere in amongst all this Hull City lost their last game of the season (no real surprise, there was nothing really to play for anyway) and Liverpool didn't quite manage to win the title (it was a real long shot today, but over the course of the season I have enjoyed watching their rise as contenders enormously). And, lest we forget, the latter did lose to the former back in December in what, for me at least, was the highlight of the season.

Sadly The Future Is No Longer What It Was.
