Travelled Books

Better late than never.

Despite my best intentions to have these delivered and wrapped in time for Christmas a few technical glitches caused the post-Christmas appearance of these photo books today.

Somehow, iPhoto had managed to garble a batch of this year's photos and I had to trawl through numerous DVDs and other disks to reclaim them, and this caused the delay. First New Year's resolution then is to make sure I'm much better organised with proper backups of the photo libraries.

The kids produced their own small book for their Gran this year as she's always looking for pictures of them. We did give her a digital photo-frame last Christmas but it may have just been a bit too technical for her to get the best use of...

The title of this entry is a reference to how well travelled these books have been over the Christmas period. The paperwork has a Netherlands address on it but tracking them on UPS had them originating from Prague in the Czech Republic. They then arrived in Vienna on the 23rd December where they spent Christmas. On the 28th they flew to Nuremberg, then onto Frankfurt. After a quick stop in Brussels on the 30th they made it to the UK and via Tamworth, Barking and Glasgow made it here today.

You'd pay Thomas Cook a fortune for that kind of European tour.

Anyway, that's oh-nine in the bag and looking forward to one-oh.

Have a great Hogmanay & New Year folks and Best Blipping Wishes to you all for 2010!
