Portencross Road Ladybird

It's looking like a good spring for ladybirds. There were three on this single rock on top of the wall on Portencross Road near West Kilbride on Saturday in the brilliant midday sunshine that was skiting off this gorgeous bejewelled beetle's shell. I Used my little Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ40 on its macro setting.
