Roma - Day 5

The square of Santa Maria in Trastevere is just buzzing with life. We have been here sitting outside at Caffe Marzio at various times of the day. In the morning you sit outside in the sunshine overlooking the fountain with the church behind it, and watch the locals on their way to work, walking their dogs, or heading to the little shops that are down little windy streets off the square.

This time though was late afternoon and it was full of tourists, some of whom were stopping with their children to watch an artist who was captivating the kids with his artistic skills. There was a lady playing a cello, so beautifully, the music echoing around the square. It was wonderful, and a memory to treasure forever.

Prior to this though, we headed to the Jewish Ghetto, the Colosseum via many lovely Piazzas, stopping for refreshments and food.

Off home tomorrow - it's been a wonderful holiday in beautiful Roma.

Roma - Non basta una vita.
