Ablution time

This Carolina wren seemed totally unaware of us at Rookery Swamp Bird Reserve near Naples today. He had his shower then sat sunning himself to dry his feathers before rubbing his tummy on some moss. It was quite surprising. We also saw a probable red shouldered hawk in a tree by the car park. We heard lots of birds but saw few, I think the heat was putting them off, but did see a few alligators.
It's time to pack up now as we fly home tomorrow. Our plans to visit Florida in cooler temperatures and see more birds were rather wrong, we should have come a few weeks earlier I think.
