Granby Road Closure

A couple of weeks ago the police turned up for a council meeting to give us an update on what was going on from their perspective in the town.
One of their main concerns was the monday market road closure which apparently is an accident waiting to happen.
Delivery vans and vehicles flout the rules and drive along the road through the hordes of visitors and shoppers and it's deemed dangerous.
I thought that the council had agreed to man the closure as some vehicles need to pass through and they could then be advised on best practice.
But this solution isn't been adhered to on a permanent basis which leaves the safety element a bit of a lottery.
