Eye-openers

Up the road

After a dull morning the sun came out this afternoon and I went for a longer walk than usual, up the hill we live on, to where the bluebells are still just about holding on. Blackbirds serenaded me, swallows sped past, over a dozen large white butterflies fluttered on the flowers beside the road and a couple of orangetip butterflies delighted me, as always. The clouds provided their endless poetry and the sun warmed my heart, as well as my skin.
