Ear plugs

At this time of year, sometimes I wonder if I have chosen to live in the right country! "De jaarwisseling" or "Oud en nieuw" (New Year's Eve) is a HUGE celebration in The Netherlands. According to Dutch Ceefax 68 MILLION EURO has been spent on fireworks in The Netherlands this year. This is an increase on the amount of money spent last year...and I thought that there was a financial crisis!!! As you have probably guessed by now, I am not the biggest fan of fireworks - well the banging variety in any case - so today's blip is dedicated to this...
