Picture Post

Cannonball.

Found today in a vehicle workshop office on a calendar promoting a tyre supply company.

This is the picture for the month of April (last month!) it immediately grabbed my attention.

I was even more impressed when closer examination revealed this is a photograph of a painting.

The caption reads:
"Cannonball" named after a television programme that was popular in the 1960's. The Gardiner powered Atkinson artic, built in 1964, belonged to haulage firm Pollocks of Musselburgh. They took pride in their fleet and every vehicle had its own name.

The calendar title is On the Move 2014 Nostalgic Paintings by Jim Jefferies.
