Sutherland - Steinway - Mackintosh

This afternoon we had a special afternoon tea at Mackintosh Queen's Cross to thank some of our generous supporters who have helped with the fundraising for our Grand Piano. We still need to raise £10,000.

Professor Robert Sutherland, Elaine Gould and Alistair McLean have all played a big part in raising funds and advising us on the perfect piano for the building.

We are pleased that we now have a 1905 Steinway Grand Model A in our magnificent building.

Please drop by and take a look!

Robert Sutherland was invited to be Maria Callas's accompanist on her final world-wide concert tour. After the tour they remained friends and Robert continued to work with her in her Paris home. Robert is the author of "Maria Callas" Diaries of a Friendship" - a memoir written about his time working with her.

Off to see the play Uncle Varick by John Byrne at the Beacon tonight.
