Crops

14.0C with sunny spells and showers through the afternoon. Light breeze.

Since the forecast was for showers this afternoon Maeve the Deerhound and I had a wander down to the shore this morning while it was still sunny. On the way along the cycle path to the gates for the level crossing we stopped and I took another shot along the line where the two crops meet in the field. Both crops are much further on than last time.

We had a wander along the beach. The tide was beginning to come in. The new boat was moored out at the entrance to the channel through the rocks and there were piles of creels at the edge of the water ready to be loaded when the tide rose.

We met three dog walkers and four dogs. Maeve was keen to play with a Spaniel but after yesterday's squeak on the beach at St Andrews I decided to keep her on the lead. Too many stones on Westhaven beach and lots of rocks at the waters edge for long legs and careless running.
