Unexpected beauty

Found this patch of daffodils in a field while walking Riley. Did someone plant them at one time? I'm not sure. All I know is that they were in a field that used to be used to make hay.

Beautiful, hot day. I wore poor Riley out with our afternoon walk, but we did walk near a creek so he had plenty of water. He spends most warm days stretched out on the cool kitchen floor. He comes alive again around 5pm. We always tell him it's going to be a hot St. Bernard summer.
