Connection

Alyssa has started to dilate, and the midwife says the baby will be born any day now, so this is the last in the series of pregnant Alyssa photographs. I like this one for the deep sense of connection among Alyssa, her husband Kenyon, and the soon-to-be-born baby they've already named Calder. Alyssa has started a new blog as a way to create space for a part of herself that isn't the mother of a newborn. I wish her good luck with that.
