Gold Finch

Saw this fellow on my walk along the Susquehanna River this morning. Yesterday I saw a rose breasted grosbeak in my lilac bush - took me by surprise because I hadn't seen one before. And I had to sneak up on him, so my shot was not sharp at all.

We spent about 2 hours yesterday putting up Riley's fence - the packaging says "Simple to install" and I'd have to say they were right. We have some problems with the gate not hanging quite right, but otherwise it's going to work very well. So far Riley will only stay in there when we're out and about in the yard. If we come in the house,he doesn't want to be in his fence.
