Bute Park

This is the view from the outside balcony of the Royal Welsh School of Music and Drama, where we went to hear a concert in the Vale of Glamorgan Festival of the Chamber Choir of Ireland singing Tarik O’Regan's Acallam na Senórach: an Irish Colloquy. It's a 60 minute piece for choir and guitar, based on a 12th or 13th century Irish manuscript. Beautiful and fascinating, and the first choral concert I've been to where surtitles were projected so you always knew what they were singing about! Particularly useful when they were singing in Middle Irish.

What you can't tell from the blip are the background(!) sounds, because there were forty or fifty students from the College also on the balcony, and boy! are students noisy! Particularly music and drama students, with voices trained to fill theatres and concert halls!
