Once A Roof

The steel erection has continued, although very slowly and has reached the point where it passes over/through the kitchen. The kitchen roof was rotten and in need of replacement, so it was natural to take the steel frame over the roof and continue it to the far side of the kitchen, so that the new verandah/conservatory roof and kitchen roof are combined. In order to permit this our builder had to remove the exiting felted plywood roof. This roof which was nearly flat had been repaired numerous times and like the verandah had reached the end of its useful life. Today’s picture is of our builders clearing up the removed sheets of roofing ply after their removal.
