A privileged view

This is the view looking east from the sports centre: the manicured lawn is actually the edge of of the very extensive landscaped playing field; the white Art Deco buildings are the Jenners flats; the three spires are those of St Mary's Episcopal Cathedral in Palmerston Place; the Castle is on its rock - once (still?) symbol of military and state power, now a tourist attraction; Arthur's Seat, an extinct volcano named romantically for a mythical/mystical British king.
