Love is in the air

Travelled out to a nature reserve today, which was very peaceful as it was fairly late in the afternoon. Saw quite a few of these, and a kingfisher was sacrificed for this shot. Not planned you understand, as while i was in a bird hide a kingfisher flew past and then a few minutes later was back again with food in its mouth. So i got to see the fight path it was taking and settled myself down waiting for its return when suddenly i spotted these two. I'm just a sucker for these things and thought i'll only be a minute. Well you guessed it the kingfisher came back with another my in tow and had settled on a pole coming out of the water very close to me. Which of course i hadn't realised and as i did it left. Too late .......
