Strathcarron from the south

Today we got up early and were out on the hill to catch a weather window. The first top - Moruisg (928m) was sunny and moderately breezy as you can see. The second top, which is a demoted Munro, we fought the gales to poke our noses over the top before scuttling back down. We arrived back at the car at the moment the rain was starting, so our timing could not have been better.

The view here takes in the the sandstone peaks of Torridon to the north west. The skies show the tortured airstreams as the clouds whisk across the hills. The lenticular clouds above are moving in a different direction.
