Tired of Fire

I thought about posting something else. Anything else. But it seems the fires are the news of the day. With dollars and lives on the line, they really should be. Some good news today -- the area my mother-in-law lives in is no longer under evacuation. People there are allowed to return home -- sort of. You see, while her home is clear, the road she needs to take to get home is still in the evacuation area, so she can't get home.

This photo was taken from the roof of the parking structure again, looking more or less northwest toward the Cocos fire. Lots of smoke all over the place now. There are no "clouds" in the sky -- only smoke. The humidity is somewhere around the single digits.

I almost posted a photo of the moon with a brown haze around it instead of this photo. Since a westerly wind came in today, the smoke from all these fires has blown east, to pass over our neck of the woods. Since I had to choose to post only one -- I chose the other one.
