Ice and no ducks

A random find on the table this morning, all that is left of the candle from last nights dinner. [duck & a plum sauce, apple tart]

In the past I've always been hung over on New Years Day and generally stayed in bed or sat and watched bad tv. But with a 2 year old and a heavily pregnant wife I needless to say wasn't hungover and sitting in front of the tv all day is ruled out. Suddenly you realise everything is shut on new years day.
So we set off to the park to see the ducks. Man was it cold, the lake was frozen and there were no ducks.
