Out and about

We escaped the grey weather in Edinburgh by heading south into the Borders and finally got around to visiting Hundy Mundy amongst other things. Supposedly named after a princess who lived on the site in an earlier castle, the monument is an eye catcher for Mellerstain and also designed by William Adam. Have seen it many times from the house but never up close. Never realised that it's so wee, or that it has such spectacular views over the rolling farmland in all directions. If you want an idea of the view from the hilltop then take a look at darap's blip.
