Junior Reds Spartans played a final at the SELKent League Shield day at Long Lane FC, Kidbrook this afternoon, eventually losing a very tight game 2-1.

All three goals came in the first half, but Spartans pushed hard for an equaliser right to the end, but just couldn't turn the pressure into a goal. Thameside Gold defended well - the looks on the defenders' faces at this free-kick shows it, I think.
