Serious walking

Chris Morley, a full-time official with the National Union of Journalists, is using a sabbatical to walk the full length of the Pennine Way. That's 268 miles. He started in Edale, Derbyshire, on 27 March and hopes to finish at the other end, in Kirk Yetholm, just across the border, by the end of next week. I caught up with him in Barnard Castle and took this shot of him with Bowes castle in the background. He's raising money for the union's charity fund and is keeping a blog.
