Transience

This beauty opened fresh in the cool morning, experienced a little rain, and was blown away in the nor'wester by mid-afternoon.

Yesterday's southerly brought welcome relief from the scorching nor'wester. This morning was calm and cool, but a wind warning was issued. It arrived for lunch. One gust jolted the house, which is unusual for my little cottage sheltering behind a high hedge. The nor'wester is very turbulent because it crosses the mountains to reach here.
