Forest Floor

Ventured out on a hike in search of trillium to photograph and my husband and I were rewarded with a forest floor full of trillium, spring beauties and another yellow flower I've yet to identify. We encountered a couple who were birder's and they pointed out to us a Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Myrtle Warbler and American Redstart! We stood and listened to each of these bird's songs, too which was quite lovely. With temperatures reaching into the upper 60's who could ask for anything more?
