I have an interview in Portland, Maine. February I left Wisconsin with hopes of starting a new life in Vermont. The cost of living here is too high. Portland holds promise.

I went for a walk to clear my head. From the shadows stag horn fern rose to dance with trillium. I woke the peepers along the bank and the stream came alive with their chorus. Eddies brimmed with tadpoles. A red winged black bird bobbed on a cattail.

Tomorrow I will breath in the Atlantic.
