Evening Light at the Abbey

Dear Diary,

They say that the light is different on Iona, more luminous and ethereal. I would have to agree. But then this is the thinnest of thin places and one would expect to experience things differently here. The Abbey is a beautiful building and a very active center. The man who restored it back in the late 1930's and 40's said he didn't want it to be a museum but a living center of ecumenical religious thought. It is that and then some.
