The Life of Bri

Murder He Wrote

Ian Rankin was doing a signing of his new book at WHSmith in Waverley.

Felt a bit rude as I was in a hurry for my train, so just got him to sign and ran - no time for any flattery (which I think he deserves).

Poor bloke (sorry, multi-millionaire author) had been stuck in a corner by the storeroom at a tiny plastic-covered table. The things people have to do for work. Mind you, he had obviously done a WHSmith's signing before, and had dressed appropriately.
