Bric a brac

Bric-à-brac or Bric-a-brac part of the French lingo, first used as a term in the Victorian era and refers to lesser objets d'art forming collections of curios, such as elaborately decorated teacups and small vases, compositions of feathers or wax flowers under glass domes, decorated eggshells, porcelain figurines, painted miniatures or photographs in stand-up frames, and so on.
Nowadays, anything that is collected and put on the mantelpiece as an object to gather dust.If its for free, you can guarantee that somebody will find a home for it!
