May challenge - minimum

This is a Victorian Six's thermometer. James Six designed the minimum / maximum thermometer in 1782. Its design is still in use today, it is often used to record extremes of temperature in horticulture and meteorology. The thermometer indicates the current temperature, and the highest and lowest temperatures since last reset.

My thermometer comes with useful markers of freezing point and blood heat.I love the beautiful writing and decoration on the ceramic display. I am pleased that we are not experiencing the MINIMUM heat that is recorded on my thermometer since it was last set - 33 degrees, much prefer 70 as shown today!
