Supercilious

George greeted me with this expression when I picked him up from football training.

"Dad, can you do this?" he asked.

"Oh," he said when I raised an eyebrow too. "Can everyone do this, then?"

I replied that I thought not; that it was one of those things that's only easy to do if it comes naturally.

He just gave me another quizzical look.
