Visiting the MacLeods

After a long sail the previous afternoon up the spectacular west coast of Skye, we anchored overnight and arrived early at Dunvegan Castle at the head of Loch Dunvegan. Dropping the anchor opposite the castle, the crew swung out the two tenders, Shona and Sanda, and rigged the platform down on the Waterfront Deck. Not all of the guests went ashore so it didn't take long to get everyone on to the jetty where we walked up to the castle - not the most beautiful building in the world! As with all the gardens on this cruise there was plenty in flower, but the weather was dull.
