Attadale, best of the bunch

After an overnight anchorage at Plockton we 'embussed' for the lovely garden of Attadale, on Loch Carron. This was thought by some to be the highlight of the tour and it was certainly superb, with an amazing collection of plants in a beautiful mountain setting.

After lunch we upped anchor sailed south under the Skye Bridge and down into Loch Nevis, where we dropped the hook at Inverie on the south side of the Knoydart peninsula. Ferried ashore again in the rain, we walked along the shore-side road and some tried out the real ale in the 'Old Forge' pub, said to be the most remote in Britain, but really just inaccessible by road.
