Undulating

20.4C sunny with a light breeze.

Apothecary7's day off. Morning trip to M&S in Dundee with a stop in Broughty Ferry on the way home. Some books given back to a charity shop and in another charity shop another little pottery find.

Before we had lunch we took Maeve the Deerhound for a walk. We went down the bridle path to the cycle path near the shore but didn't venture down to the beach. From the shore road I took yet another shot up to the old school and church. This angle shows the undulating ground sloping up to the church half a mile away.

This afternoon, in the warm sunshine on the best weather day of the year so far, we moved sunflowers and cosmos from the greenhouse to one of the cold frames to harden off before planting out.

In the gravel paths in the back garden we have Alchemilla mollis seedlings popping up everywhere. They come from the plants I have along one side of one of the two larger veg plots and at one end of a narrow bed beside one of the lawns. Apothecary7 had the idea that some might look good along the edge of the bed I cleared yesterday so I carefully lifted some small plants from the paths and planted them along the edge where there is a small wall. They can soften the top of the wall and give some permanent planting beside the Aubretia which trails over the wall and has just gone out of flower.
