River of Flowers

Clematis "Gillian Blades"

A sunny and pleasant day and time to empty all the overflowing saucers after all the rain of the past couple of days.

I noticed the beautiful flowers of this clematis had opened and decided on a quick blip because they will probably get battered in the storm and rain forecast for tomorrow. This is the same plant last year - it is flowering a lot earlier this year.

Pottered about the garden, transplanted the sweet peas into large pots and noticed that the tomatoes have the first fruit. I also had a very nice surprise in the post, half a dozen small Fuschia plugs of "Gummiberry" which have edible fruit, will post an update and a blip when they flower.

Lots of bees around and a few hover flies. A couple of nights ago I saw some of the bats too, nice to know they are still around.
