he'd already landed once - and taken off within short order - for whatever reason - now was circling back - around a lake - i don't typically visit - but on this day - happened to stop by - and there he was - in all his glory - but as soon as i was all set to snap away - something spooked him - off he went - high up into the sky - into the clouds and mist - hovering with the mountains in the background - i'd suspected my shots weren't going to turn out - the lighting wasn't very good - it was overcast - and i'm not the brightest in the bunch - when it comes to knowing what to do - with settings - on days like these - but i think - all in all - it's okay - i don't usually get to see my great blue in venues near the mountains themselves - so this was really a special treat - to see him with such expanse spread out behind him - made for...
