One of my best shots of a bird in flight, here a gull gliding effortlessly and free against warm, Mediterranean colours in Herne Bay.

Of course it instantly reminded me of Jonathan Livingston Seagull, the fable published in 1970 by Richard Bach. It was a bit of a craze as I started secondary school but I'm not sure that I ever read it. I like the quote from it, though.
