Spring greens and yellow

After being woken by rain in the night, we had cracking thunderstorms for most of the afternoon, which meant I didn't get out for a walk until the evening. Rosie decided that we should take a short cut through the hay meadow, which is golden with meadow buttercups just now. This was probably a mistake, as the tall grass was laden with water droplets, most of which ended up on my jeans.

I've photographed the meadow before, but as the light wasn't that special, I decided to experiment with some zoom-bursts, a technique I've never tried before. This was my favourite shot, and seemed more in keeping with spring than my alternative of a monochrome cloudscape, the last vestiges of the storm.
