For those in peril on the sea

This evening we went to a very interesting talk at the Maritime Museum in Greenwich. Richard Dunn covered the work of John Harrison and the Longitude problem. Fascinating stuff - thanks to Linda for arranging our participation. Look out for the Clocks, Stars and the Quest for Longitude exhibition which opens in July.

Coincidentally, the BBC Horizon programme today launched the £10 million Longitude prize.
