Nanou in Anjou

Romania 2004, backdated

That night, we'd been offered bed and board by a Romanian family which we'd just met (they have such a great sense of hospitality in general). I don't remember what this copper-skinned granny was cooking for us on her stove but I remember that she gave me one of her embroided garments before we left. I never wore it but I still keep it preciously as a lovely memory of our stay.

The weather is still horrible here, windy, showery and cold, more like October than May, hence this intermittent Romanian report.
