Coneflower

This is another of the new plants I purchased from the garden center last week, & I planted it in the back yard. The tag on this plant said it's a "new" variety of coneflower, & that it attracts butterflies! I'll have to see about the butterfly part, but in the meantime, it's color sure attracted ME! It's name is "Hot Papaya" & the flower sure matches the name! Such a brilliant color--deep red when it first blooms, then gradually changing to more of an orange color like you see here!
I'm so happy, as I have off for the next 11 days, so no getting up before the crack of dawn for awhile! .... & the wedding is a week from today....by this time next week my daughter will be married & I'll have a new son-in-law!! Life is good! :)
