Today in between cloud & sunshine, we went to the National Trust house of Chartwell - or more apt, Winston Churchill's house which he bequeathed to the nation at the time of his death in 1965. It's almost like he & his wife Clemy had just gone out for the day & were coming back shortly - it still feels lived in, like there's going to be a party that evening. It feels so homely & the grounds still loved & used by the Churchills. I've been so many times before, but this time not for so long & actually, this was the best time I had ever been - just such a shame there were so many clouds, but then they did give off dramatic lighting, esp with the house in spotlight :) xx
